About Soy Candles & Salves
Why Soy Candles?
Soy candles are crafted using soy wax, an eco-friendly and sustainable substance obtained from soybeans, a natural and renewable resource. The soy used in our candles is responsibly sourced from U.S. farmers, contributing to the support and well-being of our local communities.
Soy Wax: The primary ingredient in soy candles is soy wax, which is made from hydrogenated soybean oil. This wax is biodegradable and comes from a renewable resource, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to paraffin wax.
Clean Burning: Soy candles generally burn more cleanly than paraffin candles. They produce minimal soot and do not release harmful toxins into the air, contributing to better indoor air quality.
Slow Burning: Soy candles tend to burn at a slower rate than paraffin candles, providing a longer-lasting and more economical lighting option.
Even Burning: Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, resulting in a more even and consistent burn. This helps to avoid the common issue of tunneling, where the center of the candle burns down while leaving the outer wax untouched.
Scent Retention: Soy wax has the ability to hold and release fragrances effectively. This means that soy candles can be infused with a variety of scents, providing a pleasant and long-lasting aroma.
Biodegradable and Renewable: Since soy wax is made from soybeans, it is biodegradable and breaks down naturally. Additionally, soybeans are a renewable resource, making soy candles a sustainable choice.
It is normal for your soy candles to have a bumping surface.
